Photo production and post-production for luxury: how a project unfolds

A luxury photo production project unfolds in three stages: a brief and a quote that frame the need, a production and retouching aligned with the brand's art direction, then follow-up with a single point of contact. The aim is to deliver visuals ready to publish, on the announced deadlines, without endless back and forth.

A successful luxury photo project comes down to one thing: delivering visuals ready to publish, on the announced deadlines, at the brand's level of demand. Here is how we run a production and post-production project, from the quote request to delivery.

How do you scope a photo project before the shoot?

It all starts with a brief and a quote. We clarify the real need: volume, formats, deadline. We analyse your references and brand codes, then we calibrate the art direction: light, material, colour management. We also identify what, in your catalogue, needs the most attention, as well as the points of vigilance specific to your brand, such as the guidelines, visual codes or specific requirements.

A jewellery piece and a ready-to-wear garment do not have the same material requirements: a project is never handled like the previous one. The schedule is then structured to hold, even when timing is tight, and a single point of contact is appointed for the whole project.

What do production and retouching involve?

Depending on your need, production takes the form of a shoot, packshot or editorial, or the handling of existing files. Retouching follows, aligned with your art direction: material, light, colour accuracy. A quality check is carried out image by image across the whole series, then delivery is made in your formats and your folder structure. A series of 60 images must stay as accurate as the first.

What follow-up do you get during the project?

You have access to a dedicated point of contact for any question or adjustment, to progress tracking without having to ask for it, and to organised, ready-to-use deliverables. Validation rounds are included, and visual consistency is held across the whole series. Nobody has time to chase a provider three times a week.

How much does a luxury photo production cost, and what is the commitment?

Pricing is set by quote, according to the volume and the level of demand of the project. Engagement is per assignment, with no long-term contract.

Which projects is this method made for?

For projects that leave no room for approximation, whether ten images or several hundred: every image receives the same standard. It is not made for everyone. If you are looking for the lowest price or volume without standards, that is not our positioning. We do not promise the impossible on a deadline that is too tight, and retouching remains adjustment work, not magic. Holding luxury quality over time, however, is what we do.

Questions fréquentes

Can you retouch existing files, without a shoot?

Yes. Depending on the need, production can be a shoot or the handling of existing files, with retouching aligned with your art direction.

How is the price of a photo production set?

By quote, according to the volume and the level of demand of the project.

Do I have to commit to a long contract?

No. Engagement is per assignment, with no long-term contract.

Are validation rounds included?

Yes, they are included, and visual consistency is held across the whole series. A solid brief at the start limits their number anyway.
