Luxury photo retouching in Paris. The drape of a fabric, the gleam of a metal, the brilliance of a stone: ready-to-wear, bags, shoes, jewellery and eyewear, the material stays intact in the image.
A worn garment is never fixed: the drape moves, the material catches the light differently depending on the angle. Wet Paint Factory, a luxury photo retouching studio in Paris, handles the photography and retouching of luxury fashion and accessories, from e-commerce packshots to advertising campaigns.
We cover every category: clothing, bags, shoes, jewellery and eyewear, with a larger share of activity on bags and eyewear. Nothing is reserved for retouching: we can work on retouching alone, or also handle the shoot, depending on the project. Our photographer Marie Liszkay specialises in luxury accessories, such as eyewear and bags, as well as watches.
We work equally on a model or on a bust. Casting and styling can be provided with our stylists and our photographer: in that case, one team organises the whole project.
Full-grain leather bags, exotic leathers, coated canvas or faux suede: each material has its grain, its suppleness, its way of catching the light. On shoes, you find the smoothness of patent leather, the matte of nubuck, the weave, the texture of suede. On jewellery, the work is often done in macro: yellow gold, white gold, silver, gilded brass, stone setting, reflections and brilliance controlled, without halo or overexposure. On eyewear, the challenge is the transparency of the lenses and the rendering of the frames, acetate or metal, without a stray reflection that breaks the reading of the product.
In retouching, the material is respected: a fabric stays a fabric, not a smoothed surface. We treat folds, fabric colours and patterns. We also produce ghost mannequin images, which present a garment as if it were worn, with no mannequin visible.
A product's colour is held from the shoot through to delivery. We work on calibrated screens, with senior retouchers, and we refer to the physical product and to colour swatches. Nothing replaces the eye of an experienced professional, and the client validates the result. On projects that require series consistency, one person is dedicated to it.
Our relationship with Chanel has lasted for over ten years.
We process around 6,000 images a year. A project can range from 2 images for a campaign to 500 images for an e-commerce catalogue. The quote is sent to you within 24 hours. From the shoot onwards, delivery times are tailor-made and are counted in a few days, depending on the volume and the complexity of the products.
Process. Brief, casting and styling if needed, shoot, retouching, validation. Back and forth is reduced with a clear brief on the silhouette or the product sought.
Formats. Delivery in the formats and resolutions of your platforms (website, marketplace, social media, print).
Confidentiality. Unreleased collections: systematic confidentiality agreements, restricted access to unpublished visuals.
Can you handle both the shoot and the retouching, or only the retouching?
Both are possible, depending on the project. Nothing is reserved for retouching: we can work on your existing images as well as handle the shoot.
Do you provide casting and styling?
Yes. Casting and styling can be provided with our stylists and our photographer. In that case, one team organises the whole project.

How do you manage colour and the consistency of a collection?
Through calibrated screens, senior retouchers, reference to the physical product, colour swatches and client validation. On projects that require it, one person is dedicated to the consistency of the series.
What are your deadlines?

A reliable provider is not an infallible one: it is one that keeps its commitments, knows how to refuse an impossible deadline and holds visual consistency under pressure. The size of the structure makes no difference. What matters is how often the initial brief is enough, without back and forth.

Karl Lagerfeld photographed the Chanel campaigns himself from 1987 to keep a single eye on the whole chain, from brief to final print. Over 600 images later, the method remains a lesson in production: every intermediary between intention and delivered image is a possible loss.

A luxury photo production project unfolds in three stages: a brief and a quote that frame the need, a production and retouching aligned with the brand's art direction, then follow-up with a single point of contact. The aim is to deliver visuals ready to publish, on the announced deadlines, without endless back and forth.
